Join mOmhead for their fifth Girls Night In at Impact Hub Birmingham. This evening will be a POETRY special in collaboration with Amerah Saleh and Brouhaha Festival. We are giving women the space and platform to share their voice, their opinion and their thoughts on the topic of: 'Women and Politics'. On the night, you can either bring work around these themes to share or you can have an intensive 30 mins to write something new. Performances will be judged on the night by a panel and the winner gets a trip to (drum roll please)... BELGIUM to perform and run workshops alongside Amerah Saleh in May 2017 (specific dates tbc). Disclaimer: you have to be 18+ for the trip but you are more than welcome to still attend.
Travel for Belgium will be subsidised at the Erasmus + Intervention Rate granted. Accommodation and Food will be covered by the Belgian partner. You will be part of a youth exchange, this will include peer to peer workshops, performances and collaborations. And of course, some sightseeing!
'Girls Night In' is an open night for girls/women of any age and background. If you’re up for non alcoholic drinks, music, cards, discussion, games, food and a space to chill out for the evening; come along and enjoy a safe space with like minded people and unwind from a busy day at college, uni and/or work.
