As a facilitator Amerah's main qualities lie in two areas; who she is and what she knows. Amerah is somebody who perfectly strikes the balance between motivating participants to give their all, without pushing them too hard and causing them to retract from sessions. Her unthreatening and composed delivery allows participants to feel comfortable and relaxed, whilst at the same time her demonstration of confidence and trust in her participants ability, makes them

strive to achieve the best. As well as her of 'nature', Amerah has her knowledge, and has carefully taken time to select and adjust activities that really create a platform for creativity. It is these personal qualities and this skill set that have led to me witnessing Amerah lead workshops that not only look good on the surface, but that also lead to the production of great work and the development of good people.

As a poet, Amerah's ability to connect people to things that they wouldn't otherwise engage with is magical. When you have a tone to your voice that could make reading a contents page sound poetic, and a quality of writing that speaks for itself, you have an amazing package. From the intricacy and imagery in the writing to the passion and expression in the performance, Amerah has what it takes to leave you breathless. If the opportunity to witness her doing her thing, I strongly advise you take it."

It’s been 10 years of work, I have produced events, mentored young people, set up things, performed at things, collaborated with people and things, built myself up alongside some incredible human beings. I am proud to say my first debut collection ‘I Am Not From Here’ explores my ‘britishness’ with being Yemeni. Being rejected from America for visiting Yemen although being british.
