What is Gather Games?
Connection shouldn't have to wait for a special occasion

Gather Games transforms groups into teams and everyday moments into shared experiences. No specialist venue. No complicated technology. No need for everyone to live in the same house or follow the same schedule. Just a group of people, a little friendly competition, and a reason to show up.

1
Create teams

Divide your group into teams, colours or houses: family branches, departments, year groups.

2
Play anywhere

Quick quizzes, creative challenges, outdoor adventures and community activities, in the group chat and out in the world.

3
Collect points

Every contribution moves the team up the leaderboard. Weekly champions keep the fire lit.

4
Come together

Finish with a picnic, sports day, awards evening or a full Cup finale, with a trophy worth defending.

Origin
It started with one family

After my mum died, our family and community showed up every day. For forty days, the house was full. People ate together, talked together and promised that we would keep gathering.

But life resumed, people became busy, and the gatherings slowly stopped.

Eighteen months later, my dad died. The next time everyone was together was at another funeral.

I did not want loss to be the only thing powerful enough to bring us back into the same room.

So I created The Family Cup: a multi-week competition built around WhatsApp games, outdoor challenges, acts of kindness, family adventures and one big final event. Children, parents, aunties and grandparents competed in colour teams. People in different homes could still contribute. The competition created conversations, laughter and new memories long before the final day arrived.

That first Family Cup became the beginning of Gather Games.

We create reasons for people to come together now, not only when life forces them to.
